Here are some of my favorite or more popular videos on youtube — and by “popular”, I mean my friends all stopped by for a look. Thanks guys! :P

Climbing

Currently one of my favorite videos I’ve ever made. The Tooth is a nice easy climb within close proximity to Seattle. It’s all the alpine feel with minimal commitment. It took us three attempts to stand on the top last winter for various reasons, but mostly because we’re fat and lazy.

I’m not sure this video is all that spectacular, but I loved this trip. Ouray, ice climbing, friends, hot springs — what isn’t there to love?

This video reminds me of the warm summer days climbing, camping, and hangin’ out with friends. It always puts a smile on my face. Good times!

Search & Rescue

The footage from this video is presented completely raw without editing. It’s taken from a helmet cam during a rigging exercise where Wes & Amber ran into a bee nest while hanging from two rope systems on the side of a small cliff. They couldn’t move or escape without the upper teams lowering them. Both sustained MANY bee stings but were okay. This was one of those shots where afterward you’re thinking … woah, we just caught all that on film! Definitely an epic experience for those two.

Logan and Lauren took some footage during a rigging exercise where we transitioned from steep angle to high angle. We called it the Beached Whale Maneuver because as you breach from the cliff-side onto the less steep slope, the litter raises up vertically about half way on the cliff edge before it comes to a soft landing on the slope.

A typical litter raise/lower during a rigging exercise. In this video, the attendant stays above the subject on the raise, which can make for an easier edge transition.
