About

Climber, technie, fitness freak, music lover, and SAR junkie. I often find myself overwhelmed with too many passions and too little time to follow them all. Hobby overload. Though I’m a desk jockey by day, I spend over 150 days a year climbing, instructing, guiding, and training in the outdoors.  This site is a collection of my thoughts, pictures/videos from my adventures, and random things I stumble upon.

In climbing, getting on “the sharp end” refers to leading. It’s sometimes scary to put yourself out there. There’s more risk, fear of the unknown, the thrill of adventure. When I’m out on lead it forces me to be in the moment. I love that feeling of complete focus. I go to that place that thinks nothing of the past or what might happen in the future. I take it all in. I push aside fear and self doubt. I gather myself and take a step forward.

If I could always live in the moment, I think life would be a lot less complicated.
