Holy mobile explosion batman! Another app just hit the interwebs.
Peakbagger just came out with an app for the Windows Phone to complement their website peakbagger.com. Try it out now for $0.99, but the rumor is that it will be going up to $3.99 in a week or two.
Interestingly enough, I saw some posts on supertopo.com that weren’t too friendly to the author of ClimberBeta about “yet another climbing database”. I appreciated their stance but I was surprised at the negative tone. The guy is just trying to contribute something useful to the community. If it doesn’t work, it will die on the vine. No harm, no foul. I’m not sure the practicality of some of these apps either, but I certainly welcome anyone trying to make my climbing life easier.
What do you think of all these mobile apps for hiking, climbing, and skiing cropping up? Useful or unrealistic?
