Last April, King County Explorer Search & Rescue helped local avalanche instructor / guide, Dan Otter, after being caught in an avalanche near Snoqualmie Pass.
On October 26, 2010, Dan will share his personal account of the incident at Feathered Friends @ 7 PM. A raffle and any donations will benefit King County ESAR (a 100% volunteer organization). As an avalanche safety instructor, Dan will use his experience as a case study on topics including decision making, travel in the backcountry, rescue, injury, and recovery.
Come out to learn from Dan’s experiences and support King County SAR! If you live in King County and want to join Search & Rescue, come to a Course A before Nov 4th.
