Have you seen 180° South yet? This film had a lasting impact on me, such that I’ve now watched it several times reliving it’s adventure and soaking in it’s wisdom. For me, this film embodies the idea of “living the dream”. I love this film because it inspires me to follow my passions and reminds me that what’s important is the jouney, not the summit or end goal. Since watching this film, I’ve also become more interested in Yvon Chouinard, Patagonia clothing, and Yvon’s message about sustainability and the environment. His thoughts and reflection on life and the planet are profound. Whether or not you agree with his philosophy, Yvon is a person who has done a lot of thinking on these topics and put into action what he believes. I think there are good number of things we could learn from his example.
